Task switches

Don’t you just hate task switches? No, I’m not talking about the kind of task switches that happens inside a CPU. I’m talking about human task switches.

This week, due to low demand in my daily job, I changed assignments four times before completing any of them fully. I hate when that happens because I usually take about half a day to get in the proper mindset for a given task. It even worse when I have to go back to the previous tasks later, as it seems to take even longer to be productive again.

Of course, if you program for pay, that will happen a lot. It’s just that I can’t get used to it.

Yes, definitely. It takes quite a while to refocus yourself on the programming codes and figure out what you (or even worse, someone else) were doing with these.

It can only get worse :-) Thanks for your comments, Lola. Yours was the first ever!
